Rush Limbaugh Says Hip-Hop Justifies Calling Fluke A “Slut”

As I’m sure you well know by now, outspoken megalomaniac and super villain to all reasonable mankind political commentator Rush Limbaugh has been under constant critic salvos and a media barrage since calling Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a “slut” and “prostitute,” and in the circumstance that he’s facing potential losses from an advertising corp that’s estimated to bring something like $50 million per year, our favorite chubby radio host has now turned his finger toward yet another scapegoat for his actions, that being hip-hop music.

In a further pitch-a-fit, Limbaugh is now claiming that he is being treated unfairly in a culture where the degradation of women is celebrated on a daily basis through hip-hop music. Here’s what he posted on his website:

“You talk about a double standard. One of the greatest illustrations of it is that rappers can practically say anything they want about women, and it’s called art.”

He went on to blame, guess who, the Democrats for allowing things such as hip-hop to morally erode America:

“Every minority according to the left, every minority in the country is a victim of a tyrannical majority. Every aspect of the Democrat Party agenda is to reverse that, and what’s happening here is that everybody is allowing these winds to blow them over. And there’s no resistance to it…It’s the Democrats and the media that use the power of intimidation to get people to cave on their own morality, to give it up. All for the sake of avoiding confrontation or opposition.”

Please tell me it isn’t difficult to see how pathetic this is; screw up, get criticized, apologize, though remain to be criticized, suddenly meet the circumstance of losing advertisers, i.e., income, and point the finger to a facet of the American culture that, in all reality, you know nothing about in order to justify your actions in that “well, uh, they did it too” fashion.

Sure, mainstream hip-hop has made millions of dollars and dominated media outlets (at times) with songs that contain comments derogatory to women, but we’re talking about handfuls here. You can’t claim that an entire culture is responsible for something. Every culture has degraded women in one way or another–hip-hop just gets the immediate nod because it’s the easiest to point to without looking, which, obviously, Rush is going to shoot for. He wouldn’t want to get caught thinking too hard, now would he…
