MH The Verb and Buscrates want answers to a few questions in ‘Yo America’ visual.
Originally written in response to the election of Donald Trump, rapper  MH The Verb uses lyrics to reflect on the anger and pain of people marginalized in America on Afronaut album standout “Yo America.” The song’s video treatment is debuted today (2/16/2018) via Afropunk. A continuation of the “Traffic” music video, “Yo America” follows the character of the Afronaut as she explores a deserted warehouse full of books and learns more about our world, tracing Black History through a futuristic lens, while offering hope in the face of despair.
