Kendrick Lamar – Discusses Second Album And Shyne

Kendrick Lamar’s debut albumKendrick Lamar is still moving units, and while many were quick to label it a classic, Kendrick Lamar thinks the album needs 10 years, and then we can consider that.

During an interview with Bootleg Kev, the Compton spitter said he went into the studio with making a classic on his mind, “Once it get them years about it, they’ll know for sure [that it’s a classic.]”

As we all know at this point, Shyne commented on good kid, m.A.A.d city after it was released and has some choice words, calling it “trash.” While Kendrick Lamar has not addressed Shyne or the beef which GKMC incurred between Game and Shyne, he did give him a shoutout in the interview, calling him a “good dude.” When asked if he had spoken with Shyne following his statements, Kendrick said, “Nah, I haven’t.” He continued, “Shoutout to Shyne, man. He’s a good dude, real good dude.”

Finally, he lets fans know that they shouldn’t expect a follow-up to GKMC any time soon, “I have a lot of material recorded, you know I don’t stop recording, but they probably won’t get a second album for awhile.”
