MeRCY drops off his new album titled “Featured Presentation.”
South Florida emcee MeRCY first made his mark in 2011 with a gritty street album called The Prestige. Released through the Illustrious Muzik Group, the he album’s dark poetry set the stage for The Prestige 2: Take It In Blood later that year, which saw the MC connecting with Queensbridge lyricists Nature and Big Noyd. In 2013 he linked with Bishop for a collaborative project My Brother’s Keeper a celebration of rap classicism that’s been described as “old-school and utterly modern.â€
Mass Appeal is proud to premiere MeRCY’s latest project, “Featured Presentation,” which finds him coming “Straight out the Everglades†on the solo tip, showcasing his lyrical skills alongside fellow members of the “Rhyme Animals†clique. The ten-track set features guest appearances by Ransom, Dave East, Sean Price, Nature, Ali Vegas, Planet Asia, Skyzoo, and Big Noyd. The majority of the production is held down by Jersey beatsmith Solidified with Havoc & DJ Wayne Ski stepping in with some bangers.
