Purpose (Of Tragic Allies) - Long Night That Never Dies

Purpose (Of Tragic Allies) shares his new LP, “The Tony Camonte Saga: Cost Of Business.”

(All) Purpose has earned widespread respect for his gritty production and sharp lyricism.  A consistent presence on the underground rap scene for over a decade with Tragic Allies (with Estee Nack), his own solo material and production for some of the Golden Age’s finest, including the collaborative Tragic Allies & Tragedy Khadafi album 7 G.E.M.S., Roc Marciano, Cormega, Planet Asia and Killah Priest and others.

Purpose is back with his new album, “The Tony Camonte Saga: Cost Of Business,” which is entirely produced by Purpose and features appearances from Saigon and Estee Nack among others.

Purpose (Of Tragic Allies) Releases New “Long Night That Never Dies” Single

“Tony Camonte” has been an alias of mine for over two decades. It’s the name of the original Scarface character. So this album is an ode to Mafioso street rap.  The thing that separates this solo album from my previous joints is this is the only one I’ve been completely satisfied with. I’ve produced entire albums for every member of my crew except myself. I felt it was necessary with this one” Purpose explained.

“This is the album I always wanted to create, but different circumstances in the past led me to work with some other dope producers that had different styles of beats.  Truth be told, I’ve been working on this album for many years. As an emcee that also produces, I always aim to make sure the albums I’m involved with sound cohesive.   This album is dedicated to my man Fuge who was one of the founding members of our group Tragic Allies. He wanted me to take it back to the streets on this one, but unfortunately, he never got to hear the finished product before he passed away.”
