Ras Beats connects with O.C. and Elzhi for “Knowledge Of Self”.
After heavy buzz on the first single “Wit No Pressure”, Ras Beats return with lyrical heavyweights O.C. (D.I.T.C) and ELZHI (SLUM VILLAGE) for the stand-out track “Knowledge Of Self“. Over a heavy bass & harp driven track O.C “Instead of hitting them streets, younings need to be hittin the books” and Elzhi trade rhymes “trying to break the chain and give you a jewel here, but chain and jewel’s the only thing a fool hears”. Knowledge to be heeded.
The track also serves as the latest preview of Ras’ upcoming album, Control Your Own, which is dropping July 19th through his Worldwyde Recordings imprint. The Denmark-born, New York-residing producer will be showing off his talents behind the boards with some help from the likes of Roc Marciano, Blacastan, Masta Ace, Sadat X, Breeze Brewin, and Rasheed Chappell, among others.
