Baltimore rapper Damond Blue looks to have a busy summer 2018. Teasing on Instagram being in the studio with Young Scooter, Young Thug and many others, today we get to hear “Everybody” featuring Young Scooter.
The Pyrexturnmeup produced single, has hard hitting snares and a melodic hook by Damond. And Scooter perfectly complements the record with his classic jugg talk, and a story of betrayal closing out his verse with a reminder to the streets that not everybody is your friend.
Damond told Hot New Hip Hop], “My process is different in the fact that I don’t write most of the time, I move more off the vibes and energy of what’s happening right now. I was in the studio with my guy Pyrexturnmeup and was having a tough time picking the beat for the concept I had in my head,
so we made the beat from scratch. We knocked out the vocals in about 30 minutes, and the next week I was
in the studio with Scooter, and he was really fucking with this joint, instantly laying a classic verse. Working with him was really dope because I’ve been a fan of his work and the BMFBG movement since his Married
to the Streets mixtape series.”
