Rome Streetz and ANKHLEJOHN drop off their new “Vyrus Life” single.
“In the image of God he created them;” New York lyrical heavyweight Rome Streetz and D.C.’s grimiest ANKHLEJOHN link up for new track “Vyrus Life.” Along with this leak is the announcement of a collaborative full-length Genesis 1:27 scheduled to drop on June 1.
The project is produced entirely by Chop La Rok and Rare Scrilla who have previously laced tracks for artists including Nipsey Hussle, Roc Marciano, Killer Mike, General Steele (Smif-N-Wessun), Reef The Lost Cauze and William Cooper (Black Market Militia). The digital version is available for pre-order now with vinyl and NFT version coming shortly.
Rome Streetz has been releasing non-stop heat over the past year, which in addition to his own releases includes being featured on Westside Gunn’s Flygod Is An Awesome God 2 album, Conway The Machine and Big Ghost LTD’s If It Bleeds It Can Be Killed and just released a full-collaborative album with DJ Muggs entitled Death & The Magician. He has just announced dates on both coasts for his first national tour since the pandemic began (The Audio Narcotic Tour) this summer.
ANKHLEJOHN as well has been making big moves during the quarantine as well including a collaborative album with producer / emcee Navy Blue (Earl Sweatshirt, Mach Hommy) entitled As Above So Below as well as an group EP alongside Da$h and Sauce Heist entirely produced by V Don entitled Too Late 4 Tearz.
