Saga returns today with his new “Chiavato Pt 1” single featuring Ruste Juxx.
“Chiavato Pt. 1” is a new track from Brooklyn emcee / producer Saga featuring Ruste Juxx. With this leak is announcement of his new LP Guttersnipe to drop on December 10th. Fully self-produced and rife with cinematic jazzy samples as well as urban grit Saga enlisted some of his favorite spitters to guest including Masta Ace, Ruste Juxx, Eddie Kaine, Jamal Gasol, Ty Farris, Sage Infinite and Cise Greeny.
Speaking on the significance of the album title Saga said “a Guttersnipe is usually a derogatory term applied to someone from a lower class in society. People who are born into certain socioeconomic strata view people who came from the lower class as a character flaw instead of recognizing the character and strength of the individual who has pulled themselves up.”
Guttersnipe comes right on the heels of Saga’s recent sonic appetizer Wisdom Wears The Crown which dropped last month and was a darkly hewn offering composed during quarantine, whereas Gutternsipe was a deliberately developed project over the past year with more variety throughout.
Returning with two fully developed offerings for the mind, Saga makes music for the heads that appreciate thought provoking lyricism over 90’s era inspired hip hop. Pre-order the album here.
