Senator Malcolm Smith isn’t happy with Lil Wayne’s diss towards NYC, and neither is the general public. He is asking for a public apology from the YMCMB rapper.
Following the news that Lil Wayne said he “flat out” does not like New York, New York City is not too happy with him.
A New York official, New York State Senator Malcolm Smith, is demanding a public apology from Weezy F in Times Square, nonetheless.
In a press release from the Senator, heÂ states:
Â New York City is the birthplace of the Hip Hop music movement. Millions of New Yorkers listen to his music every day. Â His commentsÂ outraged his local fans and residents. The group today will be demanding an apology of the hip hop star. Lil Wayne has had misfortune in New York with recent gun charges and a jail sentence. Â
Senator Smith will be joined by members of the members of the hip-hop youth council and tourism officials today, August 22nd, at 3:30 P.M. in Times Square for a press conference after getting wind of the insult.
