Eminem shows a sign of true unity in calling fans to donate following the Manchester tragedy.
On May 22, a suicide bomber decided to end the lives of twenty-two concertgoers who enjoyed an Ariana Grande concert. Following the tragic events at Manchester, most artists either postponed or outright cancelled their UK performances. In a sign of solidarity, Eminem called on his fans to donate to the families of those who were killed in the attack.
Most fans know that Eminem remains relatively quiet on social media. Yet, three days after the Manchester suicide bombing, the rapper quietly tweeted the following.
In collaboration with the Manchester Evening News and the British Red Cross, the rapper’s JustGiving page reads,
Join me in helping Manchester victims & their families, Make a donation to the @BritishRedCross and @MENnewsdesk https://t.co/JchJtYOdMU
— Marshall Mathers (@Eminem) May 25, 2017
“Weʼre raising £2,000,000 to support families of those killed and injured in the Manchester Arena attack.â€
“At least 22 people have been killed and 59 injured after a terrorist attack at the Manchester Arena.
“Manchester Evening News readers have been asking how they can help, so we have started this fund to help support the families in the aftermath of the attack.
“The money raised by the Manchester Evening News and its readers will be administered by the British Red Cross, who are offering support to affected families. All of it will go to the families.
“We are so grateful for the support so far and can’t thank the people of Manchester enough. If you are a company wishing to make a larger donation please email website@men-news.co.uk and we’ll be in touch. The money raised by the Manchester Evening News and its readers will be administered by the British Red Cross, who are offering support to affected families. All of it will go to the families.

The Manchester City Council thanked Eminem for his support on Twitter. Following the tweet, fans quickly took to social media to post their donations.
Eminem’s tweet inspired another popular singer to throw his support behind the campaign.
