A trusted, unnamed source claims that Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry’s All-Star Weekend shoes were stolen in transit to Brooklyn yesterday. Steph was set to wear the “Candy Reign†Under Armour Curry One for the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest and the Charlotte Hornets-esque “Father to Son†pair for the Shooting Stars Competition.
“UA sent them out the quickest way possible as they usually do, but somehow the shoes magically went missing,†our source stated. “Steph almost missed a chance to debut his two favorite pairs this weekend, which would’ve have been a disaster.â€
However, all is not lost, as our unnamed source says Curry will more than likely still wear those pairs, as UA acted fast by rushing up replacements. But the idea of Curry potentially not being able to wear new, anticipated colorways of his one-month old signature shoe on one of the biggest basketball stages of the season, would’ve been a setback for Under Armour.
Although Curry is luckily set to debut both, aforementioned pairs on the Barclays court tonight, neither currently have a set release date. Pay close attention to Steph Curry’s footwear tonight. At press time, UA was not able to be reached for comment.
