Hailing from Philadelphia, residing in Harlem, Robyn Hood is a passionate, driven and charismatic MC. With a unique approach to her blend of hip-hop, her music is soulful, bridging the gaps between the old school flow and the modern punch; grabbing the best of both worlds. Robyn Hood, born Miriam A. Hyman is also a classically trained actress with a MFA from the Yale School of Drama and a 2011 Princess Grace recipient of the George C. Wolfe Award in theater and most recently a 2016 Leonore Annenberg Fellowship recipient for “Performing Arts”, adding to her unique prowess as a performer.
Robyn’s lyrics are potent & powerful, similar to influential musicians; Lauryn Hill, J Dilla & Missy Elliott. Her 2014 debut “Journey of an MC” Mix tape Vol, 1. brought home a nomination for “Best New Artist” at the Philly Hip Hop Awards. Her recent single “REACH“, now available is a  collaboration with New Jersey native, Vocalist/Songwriter Erika Hicks, resulting in an highly anticipated EP dropping this summer. Find out more and let the music speak for itself.
