I DO - Woke Up In Kingston

I DO release the new visual, ‘Woke Up In Kingston’.

Dre London brought together J.Lauryn and Trackdilla to form a new group I DO.  We just released the video for their single “Woke Up In Kingston” on Billboard which dropped last month on Ultra Records amassing over a half million streams.

Charles Todd and Pete Quandt directed this, they’ve worked with Jay-Z, Jack White, Harry Styles and more.

“Woke Up In Kingston” crosses multiple musical genres, fusing Afro-Pop, Reggae, Hip-Hop/R&B and Pop. Trackdilla’s production provides a tropical island vibe for the dark love story, with an internal struggle being brought to life through J.Lauryn’s vocals.

I DO tell Billboard Magazine, “‘Woke Up In Kingston” is about a love story with someone not living their truth and not being their true self during certain situations, but
then everything comes full circle when you find that self-awareness when ultimately finding your true self.” When speaking on the groups formation, J.Lauryn further elaborates, “I feel like a lot of people from different cultural background will enjoy our music because it combines so many unique sounds and ideas.”
