Bishop Nehru & Brady Watt – Made For This

Bishop Nehru and Brady Watt release the new ‘Made For This’ video.

The last calendar year has been very transformative for Bishop Nehru and Brady Watt.  After numerous mixtapes and collaborative projects, Bishop released his debut LP, Elevators: Act I & II, to rave reviews and fanfare and traversed the globe once more for a highly successful tour.  The highly anticipated conceptual project saw Bishop forging a new working relationship with Kaytranada on Act I and reuniting with longtime collaborator MF Doom on Act II.

Likewise, for Brady, his profile has risen exponentially due to his groundbreaking “Bass & Bars” series (an ongoing series that has included appearances from Warren G, Evidence, Pharoahe Monch, B-Real, Smoke DZA, Talib Kweli, Benny The Butcher & Conway The Machine among many others) series that has generated widespread adulation across the net.

After announcing their new collaborative EP, The Real Book, Vol. 1, with a Complex Music Premiere for the projects lead-single, “Made For This,” Bishop and Brady return to release the single’s accompanying visual.

“I heard a bunch of Brady’s production and I was drawn to it.  He sent me beats pretty regularly and we met up last year and we had a bunch of dope ideas that we kept going back and forth with” Bishop commented to Complex.  “We didn’t go into this looking to make an EP, but the music and vibe was there and it was very organic.”

“Bishop and I met thru DJ Premier and his involvement in my career is an incredible and rare blessing.  I’ve been searching for an MC like Bishop to team up within this capacity for a long time now. My dream and destiny as a producer is to be the dude responsible for the music end of an icon. Like a Quincy to Michael Jackson, Dre to Eminem, 40 to Drake type shit” Brady stated to Complex.  We exchanged a lot of ideas and when the time was right, we made it official.  Bish came out to LA and we lived in the studio for a week and did the damn thing.”
