ethemadassassin & Diar Lansky – Chain Reaction

ethemadassassin and Diar Lansky return with their new ‘Chain Reaction’ video.

Diar Lansky and ethemadassassin first met in the summer of 2016 at a rap show in Los Angeles. Unknown to both artists, the soloists had a mutual friend in the form of Westside Connection/Hoo Bangin’ alum, Boo Kapone, who was instrumental in linking the two together.

From the very start, the musical bond forged between Diar & E was undeniable; simply magnetic; and it turned out that individually both parties had a lot more in common than initially expected. It became apparent rather quickly that the twosome had a very similar work ethic and even were fans of many of their same peers. For the next few months, Diar and E would randomly run into one another, more often than not , at different industry events and after parties, and most always ended up talking about collaborating on a (future) song.

Around this same time, E was actively seeking a new recording home, and was aware of the many artists that Diar had previously worked with (Cold 187um, Money B, Dana Dane, Sticky Fingaz, Tragedy Khadafi, AllfrumThai, Kurupt, Big Mike, Ruste Juxx), so it was only logical that E bring his vast talents to Die4 Productions Studios, owned and operated by Diar Lansky. After recording every Sunday for a little over a year (resulting in E completing four different individual bodies of work), it was time for Diar Lansky and ethemadassassin to finally start what they had spoken into the universe: a full project, with both emcees helming mic duties and Diar helming the production.

The first song was the beginning of a phenomenon, produced by a sequence of events that resulted in the aptly titled EP Chain Reaction. “Chain Reaction” is the title track and second single off Diar Lansky’s and ethemadassassin’s collaborative EP. The classic scenery of Venice Beach provides a stunning canvas for this Shot By Curt visual, as the legendary landscape provides a beautiful backdrop that blends with the sharp and witty lyricism provided by both emcees over another vibrant Diar Lansky production.
