I enjoyed exclusive moments with Genesis Chief Designer John Krsteski and the all-new 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe at the Los Angeles Auto Show. He detailed highlights from the distinctive crossover which incorporates a sporty exterior, a high-tech interior, and a gasoline turbo 48V electric supercharger (e-S/C) engine. The current production model is the manifestation of what we witnessed at the Genesis House back in the spring when Genesis showed off the GV80 Coupe Concept. The 4-passenger Coupe adds a new dimension to the Genesis portfolio with dynamic lines, sporty attributes, performance engineering, and luxury amenities.

Two engine choices are available with the GV80 Coupe, including the gasoline 3.5-liter V6 Twin Turbo with a 48V e-S/C featuring an impressive 409-horsepower. Inside, the exquisite Korean cockpit is accentuated by Genesis’ design ethos of “Beauty of White Space” and incorporates new innovations to create a modish ambiance, such as a 27-inch-wide OLED display that integrates the multimedia screen.
The goal of the Korean automaker is to continue expanding its luxury roster to meet the diverse needs and evolving desires of automotive enthusiasts. The Genesis Coupe features MLA-powered LED headlamps, a double-layered Crest Grille, and a low-sloping roofline and comes equipped with Coupe-exclusive 20” or 22” rims with distinguishing spokes. The induction of the GV80 Coupe confirms the Genesis brand’s commitment to delivering luxury-performance vehicles with exceptional driving attributes and an emotional persona.
