Hailing from Philadelphia, residing in Harlem, Robyn Hood is a passionate, driven and charismatic MC. With a unique approach to her blend of Hip-Hop, her music is soulful, bridging the gaps between the old school flow and the modern punch; grabbing the best of both worlds. Robyn Hood, born Miriam A. Hyman is also a classically trained actress with an MFA from the Yale School of Drama (class of 2012) . Most recently she became a 2016 Leonore Annenberg Fellowship recipient for “Performing Arts”, and is also a 2011 Princess Grace recipient of the George C. Wolfe Award in theater adding to her unique prowess as a performer.

She currently plays Emile Cooper,(Medical Examiner) on CBS’s Blue Bloods. Robyn’s lyrics are potent & powerful, similar to influential musicians; Lauryn Hill, J.Cole, J Dilla & Missy Elliott. Her 2014 debut “Journey of an MC” Mix tape Vol, 1. brought home a nomination for “Best New Artist” at the Philly Hip Hop Awards. Her highly anticipated EP “For Higher” is set to release this Dec, 2016 in collaboration with New Jersey native, Vocalist/Songwriter Erika Hicks.
