Ken-C and Kidd Called Quest release the new “The Kenneth Cole” EP.
After dropping two singles together St. Paul, MN emcee Ken-C and Rochester, NY beatsmith, Kidd Called Quest have dropped The Kendrick Cole EP. Available digitally now via Bandcamp (with limited CD edition also available for pre-order) the nine-tracks include the “Vanilla Ice” and “Never Give You Up” afore-mentioned singles.
Initially linking via a mutual admiration for each other’s work, the duo’s chemistry quickly resulted in a soulful and inspirational wealth of boom-bap.
Ken-C has been releasing music over the past decade with a massive back catalog (available via Bandcamp). Kidd Called Quest in addition to his work as part of the duo Young Black And Gifted (with emcee Azariah) has been dropping soulful boom-bap work with such notables as Big Shug, Kool G. Rap, Pretty Bulli, Jae Hussle, Curtis Coke and many more.
