Mark Steele celebrates life on new single “Wave” with lyric video.
December 5th marks the birth of the extraordinarily talented emcee from Durham, North Carolina, Mark Steele. Though he’s still riding the momentum of the release of his sophomore album Almost Time in October, Steele has made it an annual tradition to offer new music to celebrate the life he’s led as an artist on his birthday. Today, that offering comes in the form of the loose single titled “Wave,” produced by Mv Riot.
 “December 5th has become a tradition. It’s not only the day I was born , but because it’s so close to the year’s end it’s always the perfect time to reflect. I just so happen to manage my reflections through song. Someone told me the other day, ‘you’re on a wave right now.’ I took it not in the sense of I’m the ‘biggest thing out,’ but more like I’m so focused in the mindset; that I won’t let any obstacles or distractions get the best of me.
