Hieroglyphics announces new “Hierotrope Seriesâ€.
While rumors abound about the crew working on a new Hieroglyphics album, for now they continue to bless their loyal following with new music and concepts as they & Elevation Nation present The Hierotrope Series; which will act as an outlet to present cataloged material and new releases.
Carrying on Hieroglyphics’ tradition of innovation, landmark creative quality and independent ideology, this series gives its listeners/viewers a truly unique bonus value, adding an extra layer of visual stimuli to the beloved physical act of playing a record, as the collection of 7†45 singles includes 2 sided on-record phonotropic artwork that comes to life, animating when viewed in a camera/phone in direct light (The more direct light the better – see below for details). Marrying art, music, and technology, The Hierotrope Series promises to be on-going treat for Hip-Hop heads, vinyl heads and tech-heads alike.  All design/animation of the series is created by Unjust via Elevation Nation, long-time Hieroglyphics collaborator.
Last week, Mass Appeal previewed The Hierotrope Series by premiering two First Light (Opio & Pep Love) tracks “Livin’ The Life†& “FU2†along with a Q&A that delved further into more of what Hiero has in store.
Today, Mass Appeal officially unveils the debut installment of The Hierotrope Series with the lead-single, “Let It Rain†(b/w “WATCHOUTTT!!!â€) from Tajai & Unjust’s Rap Noir album which will be released on 7-13-17; along with a Q&A from both members.
