The versatile artist and producer from Nova Scotia, Classified, teams up with acclaimed Brooklyn rapper Masta Ace to dismiss the haters in their new boom-bap anthem, “Sure Enough.” The song is accompanied by a music video directed by Griffin O’Toole, showcasing the two MCs delivering clever bars and commemorating their over 25 years in the hip-hop scene.
As Classified puts it, “Getting to work with a legend on this song has been an honor. Been listening t Masta Ace for 30 years now and it was great to get him on this song. When I made the beat, I knew I wanted something with some good energy to it, and left space for a cool flow on it. And then lyrically I just wanted to go in with clever rhymes and flows, and make sure to keep that energy on the vocals that the beat has”.
Classified, recognized as a trailblazer in East Coast hip-hop by the Chronicle Herald, will share his 19th studio album entitled Luke’s View via HalfLife Records & Big Story Entertainment on April 26. The album includes the reflective track “All Wrong,” the soul-searching “Wonder,” and the powerful commentary on society “People.”
