Bar-queen for the boom bap heads, Pretty Bulli returns with a new single/video. “Confidence” (produced by Kidd Called Quest). Speaking on the track the Buffalo, NY based emcee said “Without Confidence, this industry will eat you alive, and I don’t plan on being food.” The visuals (Directed by Black Belt Jones) reflects the smooth instrumental background as Bulli surveys her hood while dropping lyrical gems.
“Confidence” is taken from the forthcoming LP Then And Now, which is fully produced by Kidd Called Quest. Since initially linking up in 2021, the duo has released a slew of singles (with accompanying visuals) that will be part of the album including “Homage.”
Speaking on the album Kidd Called Quest boasted “I think this project is something special, not just for the Western New York Region fans but for true hip hop lovers and fans of the art all over.” Many industry legends echo Kidd’s sentiments as Pretty Bulli was recently invited on Sway In The Morning and Rap Is Outta Control to spit.
