KR returns in 2016 with a crooning freebee “Complicated” produced by Tim Suby. It’s been a few months since we’ve received new music from KR and this cut is a perfect follow-up for “Bout That” and his standout from last summer, “Play My Shit.”  “Complicated,” in its own way is still very much an exploratory direction for the versatile young Los Angeles artist.
In the last few years, KR has been pinned and tabbed as sounding like many different artists. Yet, his true art from has always stayed true to his everyday life and situations. Some of those experiences as you can imagine for a young 20-something-year-old involve the ladies. Some instances better than others. That’s what this generation is faced with more than its predecessors, a “Complicated” view of love. KR uses his platform to vocalize to his subject that sometimes things work and sometimes they don’t but for this go around there are definitely some things there worth exploring.
