Wyclef Jean – My Girl

Wyclef Jean is back with new music titled “My Girl.”

It’s the return of the Carnival Man are the first words heard on Wyclef Jean’s newest offering, “My Girl.” The island-inspired song marks his official comeback to the music scene.. With all that’s going on in the world, the Haitian musician is looking to use this brand-new effort as a way to touch the world with good vibes.

“This song takes me back to my Caribbean roots, this is what a Carnival feels like,” Wyclef told The FADER.  He continued, “I was doing that in ’97, and it’s great that the Caribbean sound is embraced much more throughout everyone’s music. Those sonics and chords from the Caribbean, the reason why they work is because they make people feel happy. They make people feel free..” “My Girl” is an ode to women. “I’ll do whatever it takes. Words cannot express the way I’m feeling,” he croons on the song’s hook. Throughout the record, he trades lines with vocalist Sasha Mari.

Fans now have the opportunity to get in on “My Girl’s” current buzz. A meme generator, which features the “Karib” crown displayed on the song’s artwork, allows people to upload a photo of someone who they feel deserves the recognition. To access the generator, head over to www.youremygirl.com.
