CJ Pure releases his 2nd song of the year titled “Why Me” Produced by Canis Major. From the first bar recited, Pure expresses his  views concerning the current state of Black America. With the recent police shootings, as well as a lack of leadership within the hip hop community addressing these issues, Pure takes a stand on this record.

“Im John Snow if they ever approach, those back stabbers are close” Pure states, reflecting on his own personal battles. CJ Pure reaches out to other artist to take a stand on social issues, instead of rapping without a purpose. Trying to push the culture forward, not backwards is what “Why Me” is about. This is CJ Pure’s introduction into hiphop.
