BeN iLLa releases new single ‘WaNNa Be DowN’ featuring HAKIM.
BeN iLLa is an Iowa born and raised emcee links up with HAKIM from Lincoln ,Nebraska and brings an old school vibe and an easy to relate to message. This record is about the come up as a independent artist and the obsctacles that come with it. BeN iLLa starts the song (“Wanna Be Down”) stating “They used to clown my sound now I’m rising from the underground.. see me coming up now they wanna be down but wasn’t around when I was down for the count.” Stating when he first started chasing his dreams of music he had no support. People doubted BeN iLLa but now they see him rising as a artist and wanna be down with the movement.
