Brady Watt - Roots Around My Ribcage (Statik Selektah Remix)

Brady Watt connects with Clifflight for the Statik Selektah remix of ‘Roots Around My Ribcage’.

Brady Watt wears many hats–aside from being “Nyce On The Bass,” he holds residence in DJ Premier’s “The Badder Band” (Watt also plays in Talib Kweli’s band and produced the “Intro” and “Outro” on Kweli’s recently released The Seven EP with Styles) and he also writes, composes and produces; his esteemed resume includes collaborations with Joey Bada$$ (most recently “500 Benz”), Styles P & Talib Kweli, Curren$y, Melanie Fiona and Statik Selektah (Brady appears on the lead-single, “Man Of The Hour,” featuring 2Chainz and Wiz Khalifa from Statik’s forthcoming 8 album).

Today, Brady Watt reconnects with Statik Selektah, who adds his flavor for a remix of Brady’s ‘Roots Around My Ribcage,’ which was exclusively premiered by Mass Appeal.  “When I sent Statik song options to remix I was hyped he picked this one; and excited to see what he’d do with it.  I asked him to switch it up as much as possible and he really put it in a whole new lane” Brady commented to Mass Appeal.  “I wanted to add my touch to this record the second I heard it” Statik emphatically stated.  “It’s my first time remixing such a pop sounding record; but it got soul.”
