DJ Jon Doe and ID4Windz reach out to Eloh Kush for this new ‘Jack Hammer’ single.
Southern Vangard’s DJ Jon Doe presents the first volume of the Maxi-Single Sessions, a series of releases that center around the veritable maxi-single format – a term originally used to describe 7-inch vinyl singles that had more than two songs on it. As the format developed, it was a vehicle to deliver remixes and bonus cuts alongside a traditional two-song single release on cassettes and compact discs.
For Volume 1, DJ Jon Doe holds down production duties while MC/producer ID4Windz of Scienz of Life fame holds down mic duties. While the two had collaborated previously, this is the first time the two have worked together in this capacity. The result is a 4 song sonic assault from the duo, and features guest shots from rhyme animals Eloh Kush and Eddie Meeks. ID, aka Inviziblehandz, also lends his hand to a remix as well as NYC-based producer Ras Beats.
Over Jon Doe’s EPIC backdrop, ID effortlessly unleashes his lyrical prowess on the lead single, “No Me.” New Jeruz’ Eloh Kush comes through to drop gems on the outstanding b-side, “Jack Hammer.”
