Wets makes his SpitFireHipHop debut with “Stretch Out” featuring Indigoendo.
23 year old artist/producer Wets from Iowa City, Iowa makes his debut on SpitFireHipHop today. He primarily focuses on alternative hip-hop, though Wets tends to implement several sub-genres throughout his growing discography. Being a multi-instrumentalist and growing up with parents who were in an R&B fusion band had a huge influence on his ability to direct his sound in which ever direction he prefers.
Stretch Out is an anomaly within Wets’ short, yet diverse discography. The up and coming genre-bender gives us something bold and belligerent with his highly anticipated new single, ‘Stretch Out’; his first attempt at a trap-esque record. Not intended to be the benchmark for his future work, this piece is a clear attempt to step out of his comfort zone and experiment with a sound that he hasn’t typically dabbled with in the past. With fat, rubbery, bass hits, a chanting chorus, and a high tempo feature from Indigoendo, ‘Stretch Out’ just straight up goes. It’s the first single from an upcoming EP yet to be announced.
