Y.N.X. 716 Delivers “Rap City” Feat. Jae Skeese

Y.N.X. 716 ft Jae Skeese - Rap City

Y.N.X. 716 drops off his new single “Rap City” featuring Jae Skeese.

Street-sage Y.N.X. 716 has dropped a new single this morning entitled “Rap City.” Putting on for his hometown of Buffalo, NY, which is evident in the single’s cover art (above) he is joined by Jae Skeese (who is Conway The Machine’s first signing to his Drumwork Music Group). Over a hazy instrumental (courtesy of USSR based beatsmith Sproot) the two trade introspective bars of the deepest lyrical caliber.

Speaking on the link-up with Skeese, Y.N.X. relayed “Rap City refers to the level of lyricism coming out of my city. Jae Skeese and I have been crossing paths for years at this point but we didn’t put out any work together. However he recently had a challenge for emcees to bring their bars over his track ‘Suede Uppers’ and whoever he thought was the best would win a feature. By his appearance here, you can guess who won first place.”

This is the first leak from Y.N.X. 716 and Sproot’s collaborative project, The Temporal Lobe Experiment, set to drop soon. Speaking on the significance of the album title, Y.N.X. offered “the temporal lobe is the part of the brain located near the ears that gives the human mind the source to hear and connect with emotions and I wanted to highlight that connection with this album.”

Over the past several years Y.N.X. 716 has laced tracks alongside such notables as Kool G Rap, Conway The Machine, 38Spesh and El Camino. Most recently he released Glass Half Full which was fully produced by Vagrant Real Estate.
