2nd Generation Wu’s iNTeLL drops off the “Beatside Staten” remix featuring The Truth and Eddy I.
After the release of Computers For The Hood, his new collaboration album with producer DLP, iNTeLL (mastermind behind 2ND GENERATION WU, son of Wu-Tang Clan’s U-God, and carrier of the legendary hip-hop collective’s creative torch) has now dropped a brand new remix of “Beatside Staten.” The track adds a brand new verse from Staten Island based rapper The Truth and is available now on all DSPs.
Prominent in the Staten Island rap scene, The Truth’s latest record Badfellas recently passed over 300k streams on Spotify. Eddy I., who was featured on the original track, has been a notable figure in the international battle rap scene.
“After Peter Rosenberg [on-air DJ for NYC’s premiere commercial hip hop radio station] played the original on the radio for a few weeks, I thought it would be a great idea to link with another top tier Staten Island artist and build a dope remix,” says iNTeLL about how the remix came together. “It’s interesting to because The Truth and I once had some minor tension, but after I reached out, he was very receptive and ready to put the past behind us to make a great record. I must say, I’m very impressed with how this remix came together. I love it more than the original. The track was recorded, mixed and mastered at Blurred Noize Studio right here in our hometown of Staten Island.”
