Killing stages on New York’s Hip-Hop scene for years before going on tour, Redrum Red remembers battling for respect every time he touched the stage and beatboxing to open up shows. Fast forward to today, making his way down third ave in manhattan on crutches for a torn calf muscle, he enters ‘The Bean’ a popular coffee spot where Red orders a coffee, sits down and ponders the loss of everything he ever owned including his sound proof booth from black mold covering his apartment from a busted water pipe a negligent landlord let go for months. “I’m not my things, life’s about connections and what you build.” – Redrum Red.
Thinking of what drives him to push forward, he found his new sound, a confidence of listening to that inner voice while in front of the mic, organically knowing what to add, and how to add it to the recording. This time he’s spitting heavy, as heavy as it gets. With a new marketing team, Redrum Red and his Mekanizm Records are firing up for a big year.
