New name, who dis… After announcing a name change (from his professional name Problem, to his birth name JasonMartin) with his I Owe Myself album earlier this year, the multi-hyphenate, now known as JasonMartin, has reached great heights as an artist, producer, film director, business owner (Dubbs Coffee Shop in Hollywood), entrepreneur (his Coffee & Kush Brand) and as a fledging actor (he appeared in the White Men Can’t Jump Reboot).
After releasing the A Compton Story film in October (which is available on Tubi), which he starred in, wrote and directed, JasonMartin is releasing the album(s) companion piece(s) to the film, which will be released in two separate installments.
The first installment of A Compton Story PT. 1 will be released on November 3. The first installment features guest appearances from Diddy, Childish Gambino, Schoolboy Q, DJ Quik, Hit-Boy, Rich Homie Quan, T.I. & Kaytranada among others.
After releasing the single and video for, “Don’t Stop (Baby Baby) 2222” featuring Kaytranada and Tank, JasonMartin is back with the album’s new focus track “More Dollars More Sense 1994” which features Childish Gambino (AKA Donald Glover) and DJ Quik. “More Dollars More Sense” is now available on all DSP’s.
JasonMartin’s A Compton Story PT. 1 will be released on November 3. JasonMartin will release the second installment, A Compton Story PT. 2 on November10, with guests and producers to be announced.
