Hometeam returns! Producer Onaje Jordan drops new single “Elegance” anchored by verses from comrades, Massachusetts emcee, Killy Shoot, California spitter GeneralBackPain and upstate NY producer Chuck Chan. Speaking on the joint Jordan said “the piano in the sample reminded me of elegance and I feel that’s what Hometeam pushes as a unit.”
This is the first leak from the forthcoming Alpha 2 EP (following up the first edition which dropped in 2021) and like the first edition will boast an impressive list of collaborators. Chicago, Illinois’s Onaje Jordan has become a go-to producer for jazzy and dark soundscapes as well as deep crates of cinematic breaks. He has laced projects and tracks for such emcees as Kingdom Kome, P-Ro, Asun Eastwood, Recognize Ali and many others. Collaborators on Alpha 2 (besides the aforementioned one’s on “Elegance”) will include New Villain, G Fam Black and DNTE as well as turntable work from Tone Spliff.
