Kanye West’s controversial video for ‘Famous’ has now been released, as a Tidal exclusive.
Famous is the fourth track on West’s ‘The Life Of Pablo’ album. The album was exclusively released on Tidal 6 weeks prior to being more widely available on other streaming services, and now the video has been released exclusively on Tidal.
The video is 10 minutes and 44 seconds long, and 5 minutes out of the video consist of heavy breathing and nude screen play. In the video, several celebrities including Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Amber Rose, Taylor Swift, Ray J and several others, can be seen laying in bed, ‘naked’ alongside each other. But, the celebrities are not actually physically in the video, they are wax-like replica’s – that look convincingly real.
The social media reaction has been mixed – many people have dubbed the video as ‘tasteless’, but some are saying he’s a ‘genius’. However, not all those present in the video are in favour of his ‘artistic’ choices. Taylor Swift sure isn’t – according to reports she is ‘furious’, and Ray J has also fired back.
