Meltycanon Collaborator Account Hacked as He Nears 1 million plays
Broward Hip-Hop Artist PE$O PETE’s SoundCloud account has recently been compromised; quite hilarious I might ad. Initially believed to be a move to garner attention, PE$O has spoken out on the issue via a video posted on his Facebook. “The hacking [expletive]… not a joke… I’m not doing it for clout or publicity… I have that… If you think I’m doing this [expletive] on purpose you’re either stupid and have bricks for a brain… or mustard… something in your brain that’s not a brain”. He goes on to further explain the ridiculousness of deleting several years of music stating “I have 2 years of growth on my page… You think I’m going to take that down? Go get your brain scanned”. Independently, PE$O PETE has amassed an incredible 750,000 plays organically. His most notable works, “ON ICE†and “MIAMI VICE†were on the cusp of reaching 100k; respectively, are no longer on his page. As well as tracks he’s collaborated on with youtube sensation Shofu; who had no comment on the situation when approached.
For the young rapper, this could not have happened at a worst time considering he is 1 month away from away from releasing a collaborative effort with the up and coming producer meltycanon; entitled the MeltyPete EP. The producer, Meltycanon has worked with acts like Father, and most recently Lil Yatchy; also had to naught to say when approached. In a rage, the artist continued, “I don’t do internet [expletive]… If you live in Florida I will pull up on you… Let me know what the [expletive] is good… So I can skip the search… Let me the [expletive] knowâ€. He had released a song entitled “UNDEFEATED†to show that he was unfazed by the first hacking only to be greeted with another hack seemingly mocking him by turning the song into 21 seconds of laughter and changing the description.
Hopefully, he has made changes to his account to avoid this happening in the future. We reached out to his manager who says the MeltyPete EP will still be releasing early October. “My whole team is working to get this [expletive] figured out… we’re talking with SoundCloud … I have clout…you can’t stop meâ€, the artist concluded. Situations like these can make or break an artist; keep a lookout to see what happens next!
