Kodak Black Personally Delivers 100 AC Units to Residents of His Hometown

Over the Fourth of July weekend, rapper Kodak Black delivered 100 air conditioners to residents in his native Pompano Beach, Florida.

One Francky Pierre-Paul, who runs multiple charities and assists with the 24-year-old Kodak Black’s community-outreach endeavors, detailed the act in a series of social-media posts. Per Pierre-Paul’s messages, which feature several photos and videos, the “Feelin Peachy” artist Black delivered the collection of 100 air conditioners to residents of the Golden Acres housing development, where he lived as a child.

The temperature in Pompano Beach (which is about 40 miles north of Miami) cracked 90 degrees during the holiday weekend. And owing to this intense heat, Black shed his long-sleeved shirt after offering a brief speech, while he and his team loaded the ACs into recipients’ vehicles and even helped with the units’ installation.

“Now that I’m blessed enough to give back,” Black said in the mentioned speech, provided from the edge of his box truck’s storage area, “that’s what I like to do.”  The Bill Israel creator also noted that he strives to help those who are facing financial difficulties, and a second clip shows Kodak Black (still dressed in long-sleeved apparel) personally bringing an air conditioner into a home.

Other photos and clips yet highlight the additional deliveries that the rapper assisted with, and fans/recipients posed for several pictures with Black, who deleted his personal social-media accounts earlier this year. Nevertheless, the charitable act has made a splash on Twitter, Instagram, and elsewhere, and many individuals are weighing in on the effort.

“Kodak has shown he’s a good person just does it in weird ways sometimes,” wrote one observer.

“Its always the thought that counts some people don’t have the luxury of having an air conditioner what Kodak did was a blessing and those people were grateful,” relayed a Twitter user.

However, different persons are voicing more critical opinions, with some comparing Kodak Black’s charitable undertakings with those of NBA YoungBoy – or criticizing the timing of the former’s air-conditioner giveaway, owing to a video that recently surfaced. In said video, Black appears to throw a significant number of $100 bills off the side of a boat and into the Atlantic Ocean. (Many have noted the possibility that the cash was fake, but it’s unclear whether that was the case.)

“He saw ppl complain abt him throwing money in the ocean and not giving it to his old hood and he actually listened to them,” suggested a fan. “he really couldn’t handle the heat from social media towards him,” echoed another Twitter user. “W at least he doing this if he gone throw 100k away,” stated a third and final individual.
