Girl Connected Mentorship Program Applications Are Now Open!

We are excited to announce that applications for the 2022 Girl Connected Mentorship Program are now open and that this year we will be accepting a small percentage of applicants from the United States. Our 2022 programming will be virtual giving all participants an opportunity to engage and collaborate remotely.

Participation in the program kicks off in March of 2022.

After two years of successful programming and feedback, we understand that there is a need for guidance and resources for those working directly with artists especially as it pertains to artist development and marketing. For this reason, in 2022 we will be offering 9 months of programming in the two streams outlined below. 

  • Artist Development

Apply to this stream if you are interested in a career in artist development (Artist Management, A&R) your finger is on the pulse of emerging talent, you’re a consumer of music content, are comfortable contributing ideas for production in a studio setting and recognize what makes a strong body of work. Learn more about what is required from an artist manager and A&R to set up their artists for the best chance at success, how to enhance your skills and sharpen your administrative responsibilities. If you are currently representing an artist/producer please be prepared to show us their catalogue/profile.

  • Artist Marketing

Apply to this stream if you are interested in pursuing a career in artist marketing (public relations, digital marketing, brand strategy etc) have a knack for storytelling and increasing online presence, have a keen interest in the talent and media landscape,understand current trends, possess interpersonal skills, are fluent in media literacy, and understand how to peak interest from consumers to build a fanbase. Learn more about what goes into creating a marketing roll out for an artist project with a focus on digital marketing and PR strategy. 
 

Girl Connected Mentorship Program is project based and each participant will complete one evaluation during the course of their program as well as a personal and group project. Participants will be required to attend weekly programming, and will have the option to also attend auxiliary workshops and events.
