Amani debuts on SpitFireHipHop with her “Fam Be” video.
Amani is a 23 year old Bay Area native who is passionate about creative expressions as a tremendous form of healing and building community. As a child she loved to dance and competed throughout school. Since then, she has branched out into writing poetry, her own music, and exploring anything available to her such as Instrumentation and Jewelry making.
For the last 5 years, she has lead a career working with children in West Oakland as an after-school teacher. In 2014, she co-founded the Womyn’s Creative Collective in Oakland that has hosted an Open Mic and Sistar Cypher primarily at Qilombo Community Center. Recently, she has collaborated with another artist collective known as Tatu Vision. “Fam Be” is off her upcoming project scheduled for an August release.
