The message is clear, “Stay Out The Way.” That’s exactly what promising Rochester, NY emcee Snackz utters on his new offering. Coming from where he calls REALChester, there’s a slew of ways your day can be turned upside down when you look like money. The #RedWings General dives right in with the dreadful truth, “everybody is food don’t you come round here stunting,†“impressing these b*tches popping these bottles and thinking you safe, till that b*tch set you up and they follow you home and you wish that you stayed out the way,†he spits over the hard bass.
To give you a clear understanding of what goes on in his city, the visual for the street anthem directed by yoLASTFilms, Snackz takes you to the very blocks where it isn’t safe after dark. Accompanied by a clip taken from the local news, Snackz talks about the violent massacre that involved 7 people being shot, and 3 killed at a neighborhood Boys & Girls Club, something straight out of the First 48.
Despite the reckless activity, Snackz does not forget to mention he does not condone or glorify violence, but to turn a blind eye to the issues in his city.
