DLabrie came up with a front row seat to hip-hop’s golden age. Coming of age in Oakland, CA during the rise of the West Coast; he was a firsthand witness to the Indy grind of his hometown. He began distributing his music in 2001, starting his own label RonDavoux Records, pushing over 80,000+ units internationally and having his music appear on MTV, CNN, NBC, & BET.

As a community leader with Hip Hop Congress, DLabrie has traveled all over the world using hip hop as a vehicle to organize artists, activists, educators and youth alike.

DLabrie‘s newest video, “On The Unda,” featuring Johnell in his Mr NETW3RK series takes us on a touching trip back in time, through younger years and struggling with a single–but dedicated mom. This is a true story about the harsh realities of growing from a boy to a man in one of the roughest neighborhoods in America. The video for “On The Unda” features Hip-Hop legend Marvaless , Model/Actress, Sarena “Miz” Luckett & Willie Blvck shows that roses truly can grow from concrete.
