The Lasso – Heaven

The Lasso drops off his new ‘Heaven’ visual.

From birth to death, creations beginning to evolutions end, our realm remains in flux. Atmospheric producer The Lasso captures this cycle and the universe’s magic in his debut visual from the album “The Sound Of Lasso.” The track ‘Heaven‘ features The Lasso on synth, bass and drums, while Jordan Hamilton lends the Cello assist, Sam Cooper on vocals, Dave Crider on Vibraphone, Heavy Color on Percusion, and Ben Lau on Pedal Steel. The animation was created by Scotty Iulianelli of Analog Prints and sought to capture both the desert energy that informed Lasso’s music for so many years and the heavenly discovery of a place that can transcend time and link past, present and future with one harmonious thread.

For my first video on Mello Music Group, I wanted to bring the same ethereal, homemade, psychedelic vibe that I do to my music productions; Scotty at Analog Prints was the perfect animator to do so. Emotionally, “Heaven” reminds me of the feeling of arriving somewhere you had always imagined but never thought you would find; the is a bittersweet beauty to the synth chords and melody. While you may never find your true heaven in reality, perhaps the feeling or imagination is the arrival itself. Our main character encounters his own version of that via a chance lightning strike. Is this his journey towards death/heaven, or a euphoric vision of his past/future?” – The Lasso
