Nyota Parker makes her SpitFireHipHop debut with her ‘Transcend’ video.

Cape Town-based rapper/vocalist/songwriter Nyota Parker presents the Knew Visions-directed music video for her new single “Transcend”. Claiming Congolese, Irish and South African heritage, Nyota Parker makes a fusion of hip-hop, jazz, trap and soul she calls ‘trazz’.

Nyota Parker says “Transcend” is all about what she’s “claiming for 2020 and the future. This is an introduction to who I am, what I believe in as a non-conformist and as someone who breaks the boundaries of gender in music and my day-to-day life.”
