TRUTHR, Ty Pretty and Intalek debut on SpitFireHipHop with their new “Long Time” video.
The trio knew they wanted to collaborate and got to work on the track, “Long Time.” Three years in the making, they released the song and video to all major streaming services on February 12, 2021.
“Long Time” is an emotional retrospective track. Each artist takes his turn looking back honestly on his life and career so far and asks, “is this it?” TRUTHR delivers a smooth and soulful R&B performance during the choruses as he ruminates on the path he’s taken and wonders which direction is his next step.
Intalek takes the first verse and attacks it with an impressive chopping rhyming technique. Ty Pretty is up in the next verse with a smooth, laid back old-school flow. The juxtaposition of the three different vocalists styles keeps the sound fresh throughout. The song is built on chill guitar groove over Trap beat, ambient synths and ancillary percussion paint the edges of the mix.
