GVMA drops off the new video for “Closer.”
Following the Summer success of “SKUNT 101,” South Brooklyn’s own DVMA is back and continuing the “Gangsta Bitch Love Songs” Saga. With hard-hitting production by Track Pros (Rick Ross, Conway, Curren$y), “Closer” is a song about the art of seduction between artist and producer. “Shut the Logic down, let’s get irrational”- a bar. DVMA is tired of her man (datboycraig) choosing the beats over her, and she is letting him know it’s time to make sweet love by the fire.

The sultry purring vocals are only complimented by a rap verse that qualifies DVMA to be a lost Wu Tang member; “This that fantasy Mariah with the ODB, but both is me.” The mini-movie is as smooth as it is enticing. Directed and Edited by Anthony Dash (Showtime, Paramount), this storyline keeps you wondering “Is this guy really not seeing her?”

Craig is a successful producer chopping samples on the MPC, oblivious to DVMA’s hints and advances. As we know, miscommunications are a common occurrence in relationships, but will they work it out before Craig finishes the Apple Jacks?
