Rosewood 2055 Takes The Back Route In “Million Dollar Trap House” Video

Rosewood 2055 - Million Dollar Trap House

Rosewood 2055 joins us with their new “Million Dollar Trap House” video.

After rappers MarQ Beyond and Rebel Kuzco spent the better part of the 2010s touring the world with Slum Village, and contributing to the group’s Dirty Slums 2, Evolution, and Yes! albums; the two collaborated with Statik Selektah as Rosewood 2055 for the duo’s 2015 debut EP Hey!. Now a trio with the addition of Detroit producer Sensei Cam (the nephew of Slum Village’s Young RJ), Rosewood 2055 preps its forthcoming EP When The Night Calls, due out on October 14 via Ne’Astra Music. Today (9/21/2022), the trio shares the music video for the EP’s third single “Million Dollar Trap House”, directed by Andy Miller of Orange Cap Pictures.

‘Million Dollar Trap House’ is purely about the hustle. From taking those night trips driving Uber and delivering Door Dash, to selling sneakers in hopes to one day obtain that elusive ‘Million Dollar Trap House’ to keep yourself fed forever. While creating the song we both had multiple gigs and took on odd jobs to make sure we were staying above water and those experiences came out in the record. We were at a place where we felt like if it could be hustled, we could make it happen, aside from just rhyming words to eat.”  – Rebel Kuzco of Rosewood 2055
