ENNY live Session “No More Naija Men” For Vevo Ctrl

ENNY live session "No More Naija Men" for Vevo Ctrl

ENNY makes her SpitFireHipHop debut with “No More Naija Men” video.

Vevo’s Ctrl series highlights the work of hard-hitting, cutting-edge musicians making an impact in today’s music scene – both emerging and established. These artists demand attention, and Vevo’s Ctrl shines a deserving spotlight. A ENNY’s performance follows sessions from Rick Ross, Common, Rapsody, Fat Joe, Jeezy, Jadakiss, Fabolous, A$AP Ferg and more.

Singer and rapper ENNY is a soulful, truth-talking lyricist of Nigerian heritage (London born and raised). Since her 2020 breakout single ‘Peng Black Girls’, the South East London breakthrough star has gone on to be tipped for musical success from media and fans alike. Influenced by her Mother’s Gospel records, her Dad’s jazz records and her siblings playing hip-hop, garage and indie tunes around the house, it’s clear to see how all of these elements helped shape Enny’s rich sound coupled with her conscious, impeccable songwriting skills.

“I had writer’s block at the end of 2021,” ENNY explains about “No More Naija Men”. “Then I had my first session with Emil, he’d been playing through some sick beats. Then, I hear these beautiful bongo drums alongside 4 simple chords. I was sold. The head bopping & writing began. This song is a processing of things observed and felt. Conversations on interracial & intercultural love. And the ultimate conclusion that Nigerian men are mad. I want to keep alive the art of rapping and bring listeners into an unfamiliar yet familiar sound.”
