Lyrical legend Planet Asia and turntable wizard Jay-Ef have dropped another visual this morning. “Like This” features additional firepower from guest emcee, Jojo Simmons over a Buckwild (D.I.T.C) beat. Speaking on Jojo’s appearance, Jay-Ef mentioned that “Asia and him were hanging out and he played the beat shortly after Buckwild sent it and Jojo heard it and immediately wanted to get on.”

Friends for over twenty years, the duo first linked up in 2000 when Jay-Ef caught wind of this up-and-coming emcee from California and decided to bring him over to record a single with Talib Kweli (“Don’t Let Up”) for his Mona Records label. That trip being Asia’s first trip to the Big Apple. Most recently Asia returned the favor appearing on a track for Jay-Ef’s debut EP Believe It Or Not (2021).
