POP Buchanan drops off his new single titled “Rocky The G.”

The Sober Rapper and Sober is Dope podcast creator POP Buchanan shares a new song dedicated to his late Father Raymond Vernon Buchanan, a.k.a., “Rocky The G.” POP lost his Dad in 1992 of a heart attack. This untimely death devastated Crown Heights Brooklyn and left POP and his family lost. Rocky Buchanan is a fallen monument. Rocky Buchanan is a symbol of Old Brooklyn and Black patriarchy.

Produced by Nudgi-Nudge, the music was inspired by Nudge’s Dad, the Great Tafuzzul Solomon Hussain. Like POP Buchanan, Nudgi-Nudge also lost his Dad as a teenager. This song is dedicated to all of the Fathers out there. Capturing the raw emotion of death, love, mourning and rebirth, Rocky the G is full of master storytelling and takes you on a journey with a 12 years old kid, that was loosing his hero.
